What has Alex Smith ever done or shown you in his career that makes you think he can make the Chiefs a great team?
And if you say "The playoff win against New Orleans" I will hope that one day a midget walks up to you on the street and punches you in the dick. |

What gives me hope is that he followed up that run in 2011 coming out playing even better in 2012. He's not being coordinated by Daboll, Grandpa Muir, this is a legitimate offensive staff that should be able to build on some of the good things he did in San Fran. Why does hope have to be such a ****ing negative around here?

1 playoff wins in 8 years. 38-36-1 record.
Nevermind, I forgot that Alex Smith is the only player in the league that gets to omit seasons from his career. I want him to be successful, but in his career, he hasn't shown that ability to do that. He's only played a full season twice in his 8 year career. A team can't win when their starting QB spends that much time on the bench.

I know this, he has played better for 4 years straight. I liked him in SF the last 2 years BEFORE we got him. Unlike many other who liked him before I am sticking to my guns. He became a pariah as soon as we traded for another SF QB. |

We need a great OL. It's going to take Bray some time in a year or two to throw it that far down the field.

There were no QBs. Better to wait until next year, guys. You know, when the top two teams take Clowney and Bridgewater and the Chiefs are left with a bunch of guys who were supposed to produce this year but never did?
That's exactly what happened to 2013's QBs. Landry Jones, Matt Barkley, and Aaron Murray were supposed to take huge steps and be locks at the top 15 picks. Tyler Bray and Geno Smith were intriguing prospects, and Logan Thomas, Tajh Boyd, and a few others were there to fill in the gaps if any of them had a phenomenal season. Most of those guys went back to school, and a bunch of them never played like they should have. We're probably not going to find a QB we like in next year's draft either, fellas. David Fales? Tajh Boyd? Aaron Murray? AJ McCarron? THAT'S who we have to pick from? If Bridgewater doesn't play lights out, this class has the potential to be just as terrible as 2013's. |
