See, I said we had the edge of Jax last week and the guy who posted the playoffs said we didn't.

This is week 9 BTW, Rainy.

You rang?

Jacksonville-KC tiebreaker

1. Head-to-head, if applicable.
2. Best won-lost-tied percentage in games played within the conference.
3. Best won-lost-tied percentage in common games, minimum of four.

1. Not applicable
2. Both teams are 3-2 in the conference
3. By the end of the season, both teams will play the Jets, Bengals, Browns and Texans. That is 4 games so this tiebreaker will apply. Right now Jacksonville is 2-1 in those games, and KC is 1-1 so we are behind in the race. I guess if you want to say that 4 games have not been played yet, but that is just putting off the inevitable.

Yeah, I'm skipping that at the moment since 4 games haven't been played.

I think you meant Denver instead of Cleveland, too, which kind of stinks since we play them twice. That means we've got to count two games against Denver against their one, and they get to count two games against Houston against our one.

Yeah, you're right. I always have a hard time telling the difference between those two teams.

Yeah, that's a hard distinction to make. I think the main difference is that the Browns don't have a reputation of being cheaters.

Combined record of AFC playoff teams. 32-12

Combined record of NFC playoff teams. 29-13

The gap is closing, but the AFC still has a slight edge overall.

That doesn't mean anything anyway. Just comparing the quality of the teams, specifically at the top, it's still lopsided.

You have to figure in the AFC record vs. NFC teams.

No, I really don't need any stats. Just having watched all these teams, it's pretty clear to me the AFC is still superior, and by a good margin.

NFC leads 18-17.

It's not as lopsided as it has been the last few years was the point I was trying to make..
