We are going to need 3 QBs, so it is almost certain that we will bring in a vet. Unless Reid thinks he can do something with Quinn or Cassel, which doesn't seem likely. He is good with QBs, but he can't work miracles.

I'm already for it because he already warned us and hinted 'heavily' that this is probably the scenario that will take place. We will trade for a decent Vet QB and draft a QB in the 2nd or 3rd this year and draft a QB next year and of those 2 new QBs in the next 2 yrs one will rise to the top.

Patience people !!

It all depends. If he picks a guy in the second or third round like Tyler Bray and it's a guy that can run his west coast attack, then I wouldn't care. I put more trust in his evaluation of QB's than any slapdick here on CP.

And that is how I voted in the public poll as well.

The #1 reason people find Reid to be an acceptable head coach is because of his ability to work with QBs and throw the ball on offense. If you approve of the hire there is no reason not to defer to him on the issue of QB.

Would you give a chef a USDA Prime Ribeye or a stick of beef jerky to cook a meal?

He could probably make something you are satisfied with either way, but why would you not want to give him the best ingredients?

It isn't a matter of giving him something and having him work with it, which is why he was hired before a GM. He will be making the decisions or at least having a large say in what the main ingredient is. Maybe by looking at the steak he knows that USDA Prime Ribeye has some mad cow in it and he doesn't want to risk it.

I wont be happy. I've been wanting to be in this scenario to draft a QB with the top pick of the draft for 20 years.

I like the Andy Reid hire, but I don't think anything wrong with being critical of the decisions he or this organization makes. If we are not critical and just accept it then we are worthless as fans.

So he's just gonna scratch steak off the menu and go with the pork chop...

So the steaks from West Virginia, Arkansas, and Southern California are all infected with mad cow?

I hope not. I thought the discussion was whether you would be mad if Reid paid for express 24 hour shipping of the product, or get some extra cuts of beef if he used 3 day delivery.
