This team scares me. Even with Simien they aren't as good as some of our recent teams.

I think A&M is a lot better this year under Gillispie than they were last year, but not as good as their previoiusly undefeated record, and strong showing in the Phog. KU shot below 37% I believe. A&M was around 40%. You usually don't win if you shoot below your opponent, especially when its under 40%. First road test is Sunday @ Kentucky. I'm not expecting much, UK is strong.

I'm looking forward to this one. I look for the Hawks to test my theory of playing to the competition. Langford had a shitty game tonight up until the last 5 mins, I think he only had 1 point in the first half.

37% is abysmal. I don't remember the last KU team to shoot much below 50%. Self needs to get his act together because you don't win many games shooting in the 30's. I did notice Self abandoned the Hi-Lo in favor of a driving type offense I couldn't identify in the second half against Ga. Tech.

Giddens is the next Langford. You heard it here first.

Generally a solid player, with a handful of both stellar performances and absolute stinkers. I wasn't paying close attention in the first half, but in the second half, Giddens never went inside the arc while he didn't have the ball. When he did have the ball, he either heaved a three, some were close, others were not, or took two steps, jumped and passed. Other than that, he was just a lump hanging out on the wing, occasionally moving to the corner or the top of the key. He didn't drive all game (well, maybe once early in the game, I'm not sure).

If he keeps playing like this, not only will he stick around at KU another two years, but a few years down the line, he and Langford can be teammates on Real Madrid.

Helluva game. Went with one of my wife's friends, a minority recruiter for KU's Engineering Dept. - and an A&M alum. I enjoyed this immensely.

A&M did not look very good for an undefeated team; KU had much more talent on the floor.
