It wasn't rape, sport. By her own words it wasn't rape. The prosecutors put a great deal of time into investigating it and in the end her very own testimony made it very clear what happened that night and the people responsible for drawing the line between rape and being a pushy shithead made determined that it was not rape.

This isn't a case of he said/she said. This ends at 'she said'. What she said, if given 100% veracity, is simply not rape.

So when a girl repeatedly says she doesn't want to have sex, then repeatedly says "No" as you climb her, then tries to push you off of her but isn't able to and keeps saying "No" as you stick your dick in, you're not a rapist. Imagine that was your daughter, how would you feel then?

When no one answered the door, Dixon and the woman went back to her apartment to wait. At the woman’s apartment, the report said Dixon was making “verbal advances” toward her, even when she said she did not want to have sex with him. When the woman went to her bedroom, Dixon followed her, the report said.

The woman reported that once there, Dixon “forcefully pulled her pants off and placed her on the bed.” After, the report said, “Dixon then forcefully pinned his knee into her hip on the bed so she could not get away.” The woman said she told him “no” several times, but Dixon continued to hold her down.

The report said that to make him stop, the woman told Dixon that she was not taking birth control and told him he was hurting her, but she could not get away, and he continued. Eventually, the report said, she stopped fighting because she was in pain and closed her eyes until it was over.

A nurse who examined the woman afterward said in the report that she thought that given the injuries the woman sustained, force was involved.

The woman told Detective Sam Easley she was not going to press charges against Dixon because she did not want her family to know or deal with pressure or harassment from other people. She said in the report that she was worried that because Dixon was a basketball player, no one would believe her and she might be “persecuted” because of it.

Does that sound more like rape to you? At least the head coach cried along with that one.

Your version of the events came from the followup report, which differ greatly from the initial police report. In the initial police report she very plainly states that she was not forced into having sex with him. And the officer clearly asks her followup questions designed to get her to speak to whether or not it was force or the threat of force that led to the intercourse.

By her followup report, she does add additional details that clearly paint a worse picture. At the same time, they're odd. Does a rapist stop halfway through, put on a condom and lay on the bed while his victim looks for her pants? And look at Dixon's reaction when she laid into him - "WTF? This is crazy"

Then she jerks him off and keeps texting him and trying to be friends with him. Oh, and when talking with him says "what kind of person has sex with someone...." And the rape kit didn't show anything arising from this one either.

I know your side of the argument is always the easy one, but there are two clear sides to this story.

I haven't spoken to the 2010 incident as I haven't looked into it. I'm not inclined to engage in guess work.
