Does anyone else like hitting up garage/estate sales?

Last Saturday I was on my way to Sam's Club, going down 95th, and saw a sign for a garage sale. Stopped on a whim and ended up spending three hours probably hitting up 6-7 different houses. Signs everywhere, just a little west of 95th and State Line.

Lots of rich people selling shit for cheap. Picked up a nice 8-piece china set for two bucks. The estate sale was nuts, the whole house was for sale. Got some clothes, a drinking glass and a couple gifts.

Where are the best places around KC to find garage sales? I was honestly impressed just with the amount right off 95th...I'm definitely going again soon.

Hmmm... I may contact you in the near future about this. I used to be big on selling eBay a few years ago but have fallen off, only selling one or two things a month now. Need to find some cheap relatively high margin items to start selling again.

Discontinued items are what's up.

It's just finding them - Old Adidas Trefoil tee's
Retro anything

I sell on ebay and was a power seller for a long time - however I found a few direct customers so I don't sell as often.

I have completed 1261 deals and still carry 100%

A lot of what I BUY are older vintage clothing items. & usually they're not cheap.

I've bought a few things there. 2 camping cots for like $20 for both of them. a couple of coolers. a really comfortable chari; designed with no arms, low to the ground and leaned back - I called it my 'beer chair'. Perfect for gaming etc.

camping stuff is usually had a a huge fraction of the cost at a store.

I like garage sales for books, music or games. My wife looks for fabric for her quilting/crafts (that shit is unbelievably expensive new). We are pretty picky about quality/price so don't buy a lot.

My favorite thing is to pick up newish books for a quarter each and then trade them in at the used book store for credit at half the cover price.

I do. I picked up a vintage aluminum coleman cooler. The 1960's kind. Badass. It's my go to tailgate cooler. I got it at an estate sale for $3

How vintage? Say someone has a shitload of Tommy Hilfiger shirts and Girbaud jeans from the 80s and early 90s. How rich are they?

Why would anyone pay for something at a garage sale that they can get for free from that person's trash the next day?

I bet Gerbaud's would be worth listing - if I listed the Tommy shirts - I'd lot them, most likely.

I put a nice 'working' lamp next to our elevator and put a sign on it that said - working / free.

It was gone the next day.

Just put anything you want to get rid off in a parking lot somewhere west of 135th street, and East of the court house, with a sign that says 'free' and it'll be gone by the end of the day. guarnteed.
