Danny O'Neil, of The Seattle Times, reports the Seattle Seahawks are close to releasing RB Shaun Alexander, according to a source close to the situation. The announcement could come as early as Tuesday, April 22.

Former NFL MVP Shaun Alexander has been released by Seattle, NFL Network's Adam Schefter is reporting.

The Seattle Post-Intelligencer reports Seattle Seahawks DL Rocky Bernard was released from jail on his own recognizance Tuesday, April 22, after spending the night in jail for allegedly assaulting his ex-girlfriend.
