Whether the young man was a thug or not, this is a sickening story. If you aren't safe in your own home, ....
What an incredible shame. RIP ST |

I don't know what was going on in his personal life so I can't and won't comment on that. What I can say is that I actually liked watching the kid play football. You can tell that he was bringing it every play...and I'm going to miss seeing that. He was definitely a great player and was only going to get better. He was one of the main reasons why I didn't mind watching Redskins games. RIP Sean Taylor.....you'll be missed.

Michael Wilbon of ESPN had a live chat yesterday and he opined that he wasn't surprised at all and that Taylor was still embracing the thug-like life.

That sucks. Guy just had a kid and was reportedly trying to clean up his act for him/her. Just another kid that won't know it's dad because of some low life. RIP.

RIP, that's pretty sad to see someone who was headed on the straight and narrow get their life taken. It is important what he did in the past but he got himself together and started doing positive things and that's the sad thing. People who where saying it finally caught up with him, I think that's a dumb statement, he had some problems, he overcame, his house isn't in the ghetto so there wasn't that aspect. It wasn't like he was killed by a drive bye or a club shooting, he was shot in his home. I can't say as I know he was a good guy, all I know is it's sad to see someones life taken especially at a young age and who had such a bright future. Think of his girl friend and daughter, money can't buy you your happiness back from something like this, and not knowing you dad would be tuff.

Wow. That's amazing. In this day and age, I really wouldn't have expected a gunshot wound to the leg to be fatal. That's too bad.
On another note, they still haven't caught the guy who murdered the Denver Bronco player here last year. Another surprise is that in this day and age people can still get away with murder. Hopefully, they'll catch both murderers eventually.

On this same topic, heroes get shot in the shoulder in movies too and there is both the artery that serves the arms (not small) and a large nerve bundle. There's also bones which have a good way of re-directing hand gun bullets into other stuff which doesn't like bullet holes.
