Dessert Warfare: The Nomination Thread
The next big offseason tournament will be Dessert Warfare, an epic battle of desserts with the winner holding control of the Qattara Depression and Tobruk, topped with whipped cream.

It'll be a tournament to determine the best after-dinner treat. You can define "after-dinner treat" any way you wish, as long as it fits within the Merriam-Webster definition of "a usually sweet course or dish (as of pastry or ice cream) usually served at the end of a meal".

This thread will be for nominations, and you may nominate any dessert you wish. However, you must be specific. You cannot nominate something like "cake" or "pie". You must define a specific flavor or style, e.g., "celery cake" or "pickle pie".

Once I see how many nominees we have, I'll figure out the structure of the tournament. I'm kind of leaning toward head to head as opposed to heats on this one, and having the choices be "right now, what would you order" as opposed to "what would you usually order". We'll see once we've got the nominees.

As always, your participation in this important research effort is appreciated.

And I will begin by nominating key lime pie and lemon meringue pie. Mmmmm.

I hate to ruin it for everyone else but there is no other possibility for Best dessert ever than Huckleberry Delight. Unfortunately most of you have never had the sheer joy of sampling this confection.

Graham cracker crust covered in some tasty creamcheese based filling, covered in delectable Huckleberries in syrup, and topped off with fresh whipped cream. Ummmm Good!!!
