The last 5 games in which the Pats have 3 wins and 2 losses- they played the Jets, Vikings, Dolphins, Steelers, Bills. Not exactly Murderers Row. Not 1 playoff team. Then they get to finish the season with the Jets at home to finish their Cupcake schedule. Yeah, they can run the ball, but shitty teams have been running all over them as well.

Athletic didn't seem super optimistic and noted that he had just gotten out of the boot. I read that one of two ways: 1/ he's only just now getting out of the boot which means there's still quite a bit of recovery ahead of 2/ they are being insanely precautionary and put him in a boot to entirely keep him off that foot, and he's thus making some progress. They also had mentioned that there's some talk that this is similar to what Joey Bosa went through earlier in the season.

Sure would be nice to have him back...

Matt Derrick from Chiefs Digest put out a video - he's an inside the locker room presence - I'll post that video after my sales-meeting - I can't imagine him not addressing Sammy situation. I'll post it in the Ryan RGR thread.

Didn't Bosa have a bone bruise? Either way, if we really are facing a similar sitiation with Watkins, pretty hard to determine when he'll be back, if at all. Bosa kept getting delayed from what the team expected.

I hope Watkins comes back and Conley rides the bench. What a false promise and disappointment that guy has been. I was a fan and supporter but the last 3-4 weeks blew it for me, especially after I opened my big mouth touting the prick.

I hear ya , last two weeks he's dropped passes that he should catch.big disappointment he had his chance to shine when Sammy went down and didn't take advantage of it.

I hear ya, but "False promise and disappointment" is accurate for both Watkins and Conley. No way Id count on Watkins for any sigificant playoff contribution. Dude will probably start the playoff game, leave early due to an injury, and be done - if he's even ready to go at all by then.

Watkins has been a disappointment due to injury, which was predicted, but not a false promise when on the field.

Nate Taylor iirc, referenced it as a similar injury to Bosa.

Andy was asked at the end of his presser yesterday what the bye would mean for getting injured players back, and without being prompted to be super specific, he said that LDT and Watkins had good weeks last week. So there’s a little optimism there.

Hill-Watkins-Robinson at WR with LDT back at the RG spot would be fantastic.
