Computers iPhone 2.1 Update

I know there are at least a few iPhone guys on the board, so I thought I'd make sure you guys knew the 2.1 firmware update is out as of this morning.

So far, it's made my phone *much* more stable, and my signal is surprisingly better.

Going to upgrade as soon as I get home. I hope it helps the app crashing issues.

This reminds me of a cool feature I just found today.

With iTunes 8 installed on my work computer, I was able to upgrade my iPhone. It didn't matter that I had never sync'd with it before. It never even asked me to sync. I just fired up iTunes, plugged in my phone and it immediately prompted me to update. I didn't know you could do that.

No doubt. The one that bugs me = the updates alert, so you update, then it throws an error saying it cannot update the app on the phone (you have to delete th old version and sync the new version)

I would like to point out that not all the crashing is apple's fault. Some apps might crash on their own accord.

But, yes, so far it has fixed it.

Downloaded the update.
Things I've noticed:
Apps definitely download and install much faster.
Once you download an update for an existing app, the new one installs over the old one and stays in the same slot/position -- I hated having to reorganize each time there was an update.
The genius playlist is kinda cool.
Browser seems faster (may just be me)
