Misc What's the deal with Arrowhead Pride?

Those guys seem to have major access to the Chiefs.

They have a few ads on their site but it doesn't appear to me to be enough to making a living on. Am I wrong? Has someone figured out a way to make money from a single sports team message board/blog?

Judging from the amount of tweets they have, they seem to be all about the Chiefs 24/7.

Anyone know the back story? I read the site some and I think it's run by two brothers.

I'm just curious. I guess I could have registered there and asked around but I get confused by their format.

Arrowhead Pride is part of the SB Network. Awesome awesome platform. Their sites are usually quite good.

AP is a good source of info but it runs a lil homerish.

Not sure about their business model, but I seriously doubt that the site is anyone's day job or anything. I wouldn't be surprised if they're paid a few hundred a year, but my guess is most of them just write for free.

As for the infrastructure, you can get incredible economies of scale when you're running the number of sites that SB Nation runs. I doubt the operating expenses for the site are any higher than $50 per month.

As for ads, it doesn't take much to make enough to at least cover the site. If Kyle ever wanted to REALLY monetize this site, it wouldn't take much to bring in a few hundred a month in ad revenue if we put them in much more conspicuous places.

That's my take anyway.

I can appreciate their coverage of the Chiefs, but some of the shit posted on there makes me want to rip my eyes out.

On point, though I'd say "a lil homerish" is understating it a bit, at least in regards to the commenters.
