I think it's disgusting that the media ignores these kids, while obsessing endlessly over selected (and yes, equally tragic) disappearances.

I don't think it's realistic to expect the media to report on every single missing child, but I get your point.

I think they should have a show about missing children, similar to America's Most Wanted.

I get your point and agree. That being said, the circumstances of this particular disappearance were completely bizarre. When the mom is a lying sack of shit certifiable nutcase, it makes for more media coverage.

Bryan Gomes was suspected of being a victim of a human trafficing ring. If "Dateline" can make a living in part on the subject, I suspect it has enough sensationalism to draw media attention.

I think it has everything to do with what "sells", and storyline has something to do with that, no doubt.

But it has to be a face that can be marketed by the media. It's a disgusting thought to even say, but that's what it is.

The only reason I know who Caylee Anthony is is because Nancy Grace has been beating it into the ground for 2 months.
