How more efficient and effective would Vick have been had he been put in a pistol early on and even today instead trying force a square peg in round hole for all NFL QB's. If Gailey had Vick as a rookie I think you would have seen the pistol waaaay before Thigpen.

You wonder how much of the customized offense for RGIII's style of play(physical gifts) and success in developing RGIII is Kyle or Mike ? Knowing Mike is a control freak I would think it is him but the fact that his son is involved I can see the mantra week in week out being "please,please,please, Daddy, can we try this"? with Mike giving in most of the time. With that being said, if we draft Geno I would love Kyle to be our HC and develop this kid.

I don't think you draft Geno Smith to run the ****ing pistol. Just because he's black doesn't mean he's a 'running QB'. This ain't Vince Young.

And I don't think RG3 is gonna last long at this rate, I really don't. He needs to learn to ****ing slide or he won't see a second contract.

I think elements of the spread are definitely here to stay. I think the Pistol will fade away.

Yes, but if you can make it a part of your offense it just makes everything that much harder to defend.

WVU runs a crap ton of plays from the pistol, too, unless I am mistaken.
