Sun - While I love to think as Bill as a guy on "our side", I must be realistic. The man is making a successful living. He is doing a good job with FOX and I expect him to move up the ladder. He makes tons of friends and keeps an open mind in the KC area, although he could have been openly bitter about finishing his career in GB.
I don't blame Maas at all. I blame the cowards who speak behind walls about what was said in the locker room during a private meeting. |

agree with you part way:
i dont have any problem with bill maas making a living and climbing the ladder.... i also know he is a popular well liked person in kansas city... but......i would bet my hat he used his well liked status to get KL to confide in him and turncoated..... liked him a whole lot better when he was just a ball player [This message has been edited by sun (edited 09-06-2000).] |

Sun - I agree if the wink wink, nod nod was only coming from Bill. But Lockett is an adult who knows how people thrive on the inner circle.
Bill is an outsider using an old pass card to get in. KLock is an insider selling information for friendship. |

Sun - I don't like it either. I guess what I am trying to say is that I understand why he did it - even if I disagree with the results.

We have to remember that most of theses kids are less than 25 years old. Sure, they sound older in their rehearsed interviews on TV but they are still kids. The don't know when to keep their mouths shut and when to flap away.
