Blaylock or LJ: Which RB gets the bulk of the action on MNF?

I know which RB they say is starting, but who do you guys think will rock and roll? I would imagine that KC would want to see what LJ could do for several reasons: 1) the season is lost, 2) Blaylock is a FA they likely won't resign b/c of the money paid on Holmes and LJ and 3) they simply need to see if LJ can be the man as Priest will likely have issues in 2005.

What do you guys think will happen? Again, I don't care if KC wins by 50... just as long as LJ does it and not Blaylock.

Blaylock will get a couple of series. Then LJ until he's gassed, with Blaylock and Richardson giving him occasional rest.

I agree with all you said except for the Priest likely to have issues in 2005.
The last time a donkey thought Priest was done he lead the league in rushing TD's.

LJ gets my vote. Let him prove what he says he is about.

I say that LJ will get the majority of carries once it's all said and done. Blaylock will get a few carries to start, but I have a feeling that LJ is going to have a breakout night tonight.

Tap on the brake... I'm not implying that he's done at all. I'm just saying that he's on the wrong side of 30... and hasn't finished 2 of the last 3 seasons. Two years he missed 2 games, right and this year he will miss 8 games.

He could very well come back and play all 16, but I doubt anyone is 100% comfortable with that way of thinking and not have a strong backup plan.

I believe Vermeil said that Blaylock gets the first 2 series and then the backs rotate after that depending on success.

If it were my decision to to make, LJ would carry for the remainder of the season.

I'd like to lean more on whomever is doing better this week. If it seems LJ is running better, go with him. Blaylock, then go with him...

I really believe it's in the Chiefs best interest at this point to see what they have in LJ. It's just common sense that we see what we have in our first round pick who is actually signed through next year. Blaylock has performed very well the past couple of seasons, but the Chiefs need to get LJ some reps and the MOST from a first round pick, IMO. Giving Blaylock the starting nod is admirable, but I fail to see how it benefits the Chiefs long-term. Retaining Blaylock should be the least of the worries in the off-season.

It would make sense to run LJ as much as possible. So, natuarally, Blaylock will get most of the carries.

Priest will be in much better shape for next season. He won't be asked to carry nearly as much of the load with LJ and/or Blaylock picking up the slack.
