ANOTHER DGB THREAD!

Dorial Green-Beckham visiting the Chiefs today

http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com...-chiefs-today/

While many pre-draft visits are for the sake of smokescreen, or to firm up medical information, many of them are for teams to look a player in the eye.

Likely along those lines, the Chiefs are bringing in one of the most talented players in the 2015 NFL Draft today, who comes with considerable baggage.

Via Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network, the Chiefs are hosting former Missouri wide receiver Dorial Green-Beckham today.

Green-Beckham has also visited the Bengals and 49ers, and the Vikings and Ravens have also met with him. Plenty of other teams probably have as well, to see if they are willing to gamble on a player with explosive ability and a checkered past.

Green-Beckham was kicked off the team at Missouri after a pair of drug arrests, and a domestic violence accusation (though no charges were filed). He transferred to Oklahoma, but never played a down there.

If you trust him, he’s the kind of game-breaking talent which any team can use, and getting him with the 18th pick might be a steal. Weighing whether they can take such a chance is the kind of thing most evaluators can’t decide before meeting someone face-to-face, which the Chiefs will do today.

If they pick the right linemen, I wouldn't hate the pick. There are some damn good ones in this draft.

I'll be disappointed for sure since I really think receiver is the way to go, and could live with a CB or ILB, but wont be joining in on the hate parade until I see how the rest of the draft shakes out.

Its gonna be hilarious to watch the mayhem ensue if it happens, though.

His stock in the draft reminds me of DeSean Jackson.

You want a case of grade A draft dumbflackery? 49ers leading WRs in 2007 were Arnaz Battle and Darrell Jackson.

The draft in 2008
29 San Francisco 49ers Kentwan Balmer DT
A complete bust.

39 San Francisco 49ers Chilo Rachal G
The longer he played the worse he played.

49 Philadelphia Eagles DeSean Jackson WR

The avg CB is 5-11

To start. Not that Smith would gonna go nuts with chucks to guys but it at least would be worth it 1 a game if he was 1 on 1.

The only targets over 6-2 Smith has played a season with are Vernon Davis and Kelce. Vernon is a body catch or actually belly catch guy. Moss was a situational WR and played 2 months with Smith. He did chuck 1 40 yard pass to him in a game. Even without being tall you can still be a attack the ball high WR like Dez Bryant. Something Crabtree never was. Bowe preferred to body a DB and body catch when in a tight spot. Brandon Lloyd could do it but he was traded after 2005.

Point is. That MoFo ain't slippin far in the draft.

If there's no big talent on the board, then yes, I'd take an OL. Still stand by the belief that if you can't draft quality lineman beyond the first round, you don't belong in the business. I don't know that I can stomach the Chiefs taking OL in the first round in 2 of the 3 last drafts.

Part of effectively drafting well from top to bottom is factoring in position depth.

There are 7-8 receivers that reputable people see as first round pick quality players. Most reputable sites have there being as many as 20 guys with third round or better grades. This WR class is STOCKED. Great values will be there throughout the draft and some steals will be had in the 4-7th rounds.

I'd understand if they chose to draft Dorial, but this draft class has a lot of receiving talent and other positions aren't as deep.

I wouldn't argue that, there are some very intriguing guys in the 2-3 round range... Agholor, Josh Harper, Stefon Diggs, Ty Montgomery, Tre McBride to name a few.

As long as he grabs two guys between rounds 2-4, I could live with that.

I want them to actually work the draft and get good players at positions of need.

other teams can do it, they seem to know what team likes a certain player. They move up, move down etc.

Why are we a team that can't ever do shit without getting raped?

we move up ....... pay max rape
we move down ... get jack shit back rape
A team jump right in front of us for a 6th round pick for a player we really need

because DGB has more than just off the field issues

He hasn't played in a year

his route running was rough even when he was playing
