Madden '17

Anyone getting a little excited? Seems like they have really made an effort this year.

Franchise mode is getting an overhaul according to recent news:

1. Full player editing while your franchise is progressing.

2. Coaching/FO decisions.

3. In-game ticker with live updates.

4. Practice squads.

5. New commentary team that will actually talk about things happening in your franchise.

6. Draft has been tweaked with more busts/gems.

Gameplay improvements:

1. Zone Coverage overhaul.

2. New ball-carrier special moves.

3. Real gap control on defense.

4. Real ball physics. In the past the ball would tether to a player based on ratings.

They also overhauled kicking to make it a challenge now. There's a new three-click system and weather/location will play a factor. Also, apparently on clutch kicks if the opponent "freezes" the kicker by calling a timeout the kicking meter will disappear and you have to make the kick by muscle memory. Kicks and punts can also be blocked.

How badly all of this shit is ****ed up on release remains to be seen but it does seem like they are making a big effort.

Kirkland Mobley is fighting through a flood of emotions right now, and will likely end up firing his agent.

Well, future Chief right there, god damn. Three first round picks ensures I'll snag him.

Chiefs get their man in the draft. Third overall pick.

Second first round pick is also a beast. Day one starter at DT.

Might as well do a BPA with my third 1st round pick. BEAST!

Free agency recap (backup QB, replacement center, Houston's sub/replacement):

UDFA beast RB I happened upon. Gonna turn him into Bo Jackson II.

Let 2019 begin! Quest for the Super Bowl continues!

I absolutely love the new game. Im in year 2023 and have moved to a 4-3 defense. Justin Houston is now the RDE and dominates. Chris Jones and Dontari Poe are absolute beasts in the middle.

Drafted some great running backs that have me saying who's missing Jamaal Charles, not me. Great at trucking and getting through the line.

Traded for Amari Cooper and have a Jeremy Maclin clone on the opposite side of him.

For me this is best franchise Madden has put out in a long time. Really enjoy it and it gets on my fiances nerves lol.

Team is kicking ass in preseason. Rookie WR, DT and CB look great. There is no reason I shouldn't win it all, barring injury.

I didn't make the sliders easier. I made them harder.

The only one I made easier was the fumble slider.

I had a five game improvement because I had a better team and a better QB. Deal with it.
