got your wish, but if we are losing next year remember you don't have a right to complain. Most coaches leave after losing seasons and we were 10-6 which is a improvement over last year. I believe unless Al Saunders is the next HC we will step back before we step forward depending on if the next HC keeps Gun and one of our offensive coaches to be the OC.

I agree that it's probably time for a change, but I couldn't help but be a little sad today. Say what you will about DV... but he's a hell of a guy. Maybe not the best coach in the world, but a damn good one... and a great guy in general.

Dick was too much of a niceguy. He wasnt able to stay with the cutthroat side of the business where no matter how much you like someone, if they arent getting it done, they have to go.

Dick was all about giving guys another chance when they had already blown too many chances.

I dont want Saunders as head coach, because I feel that the entire coaching staff, aside from Mike Solari, needs to hit the bricks.

The new head coach coming in needs to be able to do his thing without having to worry about entrenched management and not getting to do his job to the best of his ability.

So you think all the offensive coaches that are part of the #1 offense in the NFL the last four years should be let go? Makes since to me

Call it retooling if you wish, the concept is replacing older players with younger and lesser talents with potential talent players so you have a future.

I am insanely sad that DV is gone. He changed the face of the Chiefs for the better. Our offense, because of him, was nearly #1 in the NFL for the 5 years that he was here. We have never ever had that before here. Granted our defense definitely kept us out of the playoffs and the superbowl, dick vermeil was the perfect coach for the Kansas City Chiefs when peterson hired him. I will miss that old ass with a passion.

The "perfect coach" would have gotten this team to the SB.

Hell, a good hire would have won a couple playoff games.
