He won't be able to give you a definitive time without knowing your optical drive read speed... Let's say that your read speed is 16x --- you could probably rip a 1 1/2 hour dvd in 30 to 45 minutes... Again, this also depends on how you're encoding the video and the audio mix (and how many audio tracks - spanish, english, etc).
Total work - I'd say you'll do a hour of work per 1 GB.

Well it's still really hard to say just by looking at the specs. There are many different factors involved that determine the speed. Mobo bus speed, and how many pipes it has, SATA interface, HD speed, DVD drive speed, etc. Most of that is not specified in the specs for that machine. It also depends greatly on how you choose to encode the output, how many channels of audio you retain, what codec you choose to use for video and audio, etc.

The best bet is to just give it a try on that machine. I'd expect something between 30 minutes to 3 hours. I know that's not much help....
