Let's talk about the Patriots

5-0 heading into a Sunday Night matchup with the Pats.

This should be a good one, men.

When your personal trainer is a known steroid dealer it is amazing how arm strength can be enhanced more than what would be expected for an average 41 year old QB.

He's arguably a quack and got in trouble with the FTC for overselling the alleged benefits of certain medicines, but he has literally never been tied to steroids, supplying or otherwise.

The Pats are 3-2 THIS YEAR.

I don't care about Brady and Hoodie and the history.

I care about this week.

This week our D will be at its weakest and we will truly be a DV Chiefs team.

We wouldn't prefer this but PM will have to carry us this week. It is what it is. Best offense vs. worst defense (at its worst.)

Brady can’t throw it deep with velocity anymore.

Sutton should do exactly what he did the last year: rush 3, drop 8 and have a money backer next to Hitchens.

Drop the OLB’s to take away the crossing routes and it will put stress on Brady. Even with a 3 man rush we’ll get pressure.

Brady isn’t Mahomes. He isn’t going to extend plays at this age. The moment you get him moving is when you win the battle.

I fully expect it Sunday.

It’ll be frustrating at times I’m sure but it probably gives them their best chance against NE given the injuries on the defensive side of the ball. The main priority has to be taking away the short routes and the HB in the passing game.

The first quarter and run defense are two biggest things. We start off up 7-0 like usual we are good to go. They run Sony, take time off and dink and dunk 7 min, then each possession will be amplified.

We have differed to 2nd half every single game so far. This may be one where I'd want to score first.

Reid won't change for his opponent. He wants the ball coming out after the half

It also tells the team he isn't worried about trailing 7-0. We have Mahomes, 7-0 isn't insurmountable. Bring on the challenge

With the way this team has stopped opponents on their first drive he's not going to change.

Particularly against a guy who is liable to complete three three-yard passes on the first series.

So i just watched a Collin Cowherd youtube segement where he went on for about five minutes about how we shouldn't lean on nostalgia in the NFL, and pointed to Eli Manning and Jon Gruden as examples of how that goes wrong.

Then he immediately went into how Belichick is like 24-0 against young quarterbacks, and how Mahomes has won 5 games and Brady has won 5 superbowls. Completely relying on nostalgia.

Then he went on a rant about how the jags made mahomes look vulnerable and he is in danger of going back to his reckless college ways. Holy shit. Then he picked the Patriots to win convincingly.

Almost every talking head is picking the Patriots.

Our safties scare me a little, as well as the defense in general against the Patriots offense, but i think our offense is going to stomp a mudhole in them.
