Ep. 1 of series 18 was a worthwhile watch. Italy and supercars just go hand in hand. Will.i.am can't drive a manual-hehe.

Anyone catch the season.
The cars with WWII airplane engines were INSANE. Amazing that BMW's new M5 improves so mightily over what was already the premiere 'saloon car' out there.

I've been a Top Gear fan for years. I was pretty disappointed with the opener last week. It was probably the first time I quit watching one of their shows just because it was so bad.

Good look Argentina.
Thank you for making Alabama look comparatively sane.

No idea. I thought that was a fun episode. The escape from Patagonia was even better I thought.

James May is back with the second installment of Cars of the People.
Less hijinks and much more informative than Top Gear, he explores historical trends and forgotten anecdotes to explain the course of development of common commuter automobiles. The new episode explores how Britain and the US won WWII, but Japan and Germany won the postwar quality auto race. It has aired on BBC only thus far, so you need the Hola Extension to watch it from the BBC Iplayer website. But be on the lookout for it on BBCA in the near future.
