LeBron's team wasn't good enough, and he wasn't good enough. Particularly against Dallas, because the series was mostly closely contested.

Are you just trolling at this point? LeBron is 29 years old and still in the prime of his career. He could likely play for at least a decade more if he wants to. And as Hamas wrote earlier in this thread, only an idiot would make this series out to be a referendum on LeBron's career and legacy. It's far more about just how good the Spurs are (and just how far Wade has fallen).

Sure I did. If Jordan would have lost 3 Finals series he wouldn't be considered the GOAT or in the same league. There has to be something to separate great players and championships won and lost are usually it.

I will just say this one final thing, I think all this talk is premature the series is still going on and the Heat can win 3 in a row. We have seen this Spurs team lose 4 straight to the Thunder so it is not out of the realm of possibility,

If the Heat lose Sunday then we can revisit this topic.

The '07 Cavs were maybe one the worst teams to ever make the finals. I honestly think any of the top 8 western conference seeds could have beaten them in a 7 game series that year. This is probably the worst Heat team of the last four years. They are still a top four team in the NBA though. I honestly think this Spurs team could be the best team since the '01 Lakers.

At the time, definitely. They weren't a "team" at that point in any sense of the word, just a bunch of talents mixed together. It was only in the years that followed that LeBron, Wade, and Bosh grew into their roles.

But that makes no sense. You'd be penalizing Jordan for him/his team playing better than they actually did during those years where they missed the finals and lost earlier in the playoffs.

Unless Wade gets new knees or LeBron is cloned to take on the responsibility of the other four players on the court, it's hard to see how the Spurs will lose this series. They're simply better in every regard.

You either weren't watching them then or just not understanding what you were watching. The Heat that season played nothing like they did in the following seasons, LeBron and Wade's roles shifted after that point and it became very much LeBron's "team."
