Either: 1) You just spent your first overall pick to improve at right tackle. or 2) You just spent your first overall pick to save four million bucks a year on your LT and you hope Joeckel becomes what Albert already is. Drafting a LT at 1.1 would epitomize ineptitude on the part of the front office. You could not POSSIBLY find a more wasteful use of the top pick for the Chiefs. I do agree that you should wait to sign Albert til after the draft, however. |

What sense does that make? Quote:

Keep in mind Dorsey has stated over and over and over that he wants to take the BAA. That means sometimes that player doesn't even start.

If you deal Albert for a first from someone like the Dolphins and draft Lane Johnson at 1.12, I can SORT OF see that. But Lane Johnson is basically what Albert was when he was drafted, so.... eh. |

Hali's damn near impossible to re-structure because i don't think they have any interest in tacking extra years onto his deal. Berry, OTOH, at a $10 million cap hit could and should be re-signed on a 5-year deal that gives him a top 5 safety figure, IMO. I'll acknowledge that he may not reach that level, but the cap relief gained would be worth the possible overpay, and continuity in the secondary is always worth its weight in gold.

Stude is the long snapper(actually practiced it with the Eagles). And very well could have been Romeo's secret emergency QB.

Voidable years are basically player options. The signing bonus is prorated over that additional year to provide cap relief in the prior years of the agreement. However, the pro-rated portion of the signing bonus is still on the books whether the player remains or does not.
