49ers have completed a trade with the Chiefs for Alex Smith, tho can't be official til March 12. Chiefs really made a commitment to Smith

I don't give a rat's ass about the full disclosure of compensation.

There is just too much smoke that it's this year's second and a connditional pick that could also the second next year.

So the hell what if we get a mid rounder back this year.

The Chiefs not only got ****ed by the 9ers, they turned Around and ****ed themselves for good measure.

They almost ceetainly assured that they ca not trade out of that #1 overall, which in turn assures that any improvement on this roster is going to be marginal, ar best.

Most people I have spoken with think the Chiefs are a lock to make the playoffs this year at least with a wild card. Barring injuries.

There is nothing to trade up for. The league verdict is in on this qb class. They may all be wrong, but it is pretty clear nobody is enamored with any of these guys. Besides, Dorsey already sort of ****ed up his bargaining position whenhe came out and said this.

Dorsey could have easily bluff and act as if we were still looking at Geno Smith as an option at #1 pick. Then he would be anticing other teams to call. Nope he isn't able to bluff with a pair deuces in the pocket.

Actually that's probably about right. The AFC was terrible during the regular season this year. Who knows if it'll be better next year. The Ravens probably won't be, they looked completely lost without Ray Lewis at the end of the year. The Steelers and Patriots are another year older. So is Manning.

The only AFC teams with a winning record were the 6 playoff teams. Getting even average QB play to get to the 9-7 range will put you in the playoff race.

I think it's utterly ridiculous to claim that the Chiefs have absolutely no chance of finding a trading partner NINE WEEKS BEFORE THE DRAFT.

As far as finding a player that will help that team, it's just as ridiculous. Milliner opposite Flowers would be an improvement. Floyd at DE would be an improvement. Patterson, Austin and Allen would be an improvement over Baldwin and McCluster. Tyler Eifert and Zach Ertz would be an improvement over the oft-injured Tony Moeaki.

It's like Chiefsplanet has become the bizarro-world, where improving the football team is an absolute impossibility.
