Just traded to pick up Jake O'Connell TE Miami-Ohio
SCOUTING REPORT: Has earned two varsity letters ... coaches say that he has exceptional ball skills and that he continues to grow as a blocker ... a great athlete, his verticle leap of 36.5 inches is second best on the team ... a solid special teams player. 2007: Played in all 13 games, starting contests against Kent State, Temple and Central Michigan ... caught a career-high 14 passes for 152 yards, an average gain of nearly 11 yards ... had four catches for 52 yards vs. Temple, including a 19-yard TD ... also had four grabs for 41 yards vs. Akron ... caught an 11-yard TD pass vs. Kent State. 2006: Played in 11 games, catching seven passes for 43 yards ... two of his seven grabs went for touchdowns, one at Purdue and one at Buffalo ... also saw time with special teams units. 2005: Saw action in five games. 2004: Redshirted.
