If Carl follows through on his promise to retire at the end of this contract extention, does Clark Hunt go outside the organization and start fresh with a new GM?

Or does he promote one of Carl's lackeys and continue Carl's legacy of mediocrity?

I'd bet on Carl having significant input into who is successor is going to be... which means a Carl lackey is likely.

I'd expect plenty of Rufus articles pimping the likes of Denny Thum or Terry Bradway as GM, beginning in 2008 or so.
