Discussion: Who should we consider for our first rd pick?
It’s that time fellas! Little over 3 weeks out and it’s in our house!
I’ll put 2 options here. 1. Who do we pick if we sign a vet WR (Hopkins?) before the draft. 2 who do we pick if we don’t sign anyone else before the draft. Who ya got? Last edited by RunKC; 04-21-2023 at 10:58 AM.. |

3 weeks out is too far out to make this prediction.

Carter may fall a lot harder than we think. But the Chiefs aren't going to take him, surely not.
You're talking about a guy with outstanding tape, but (a.) he's acted exceptionally shady with regards to the car accident, (b.) he's believed to have horrendous work ethic, (c.) he may be a horrendous diva. Someone's going to get a talented player if they can get him to maximize his talents. But they're also inheriting a total headcase. |

I am also concerned that this is too early and that means there's a chance that whatever we decide in this thread might not be 100% correct. Give us two more weeks and we'll have it figured out without having to worry about being wrong.

We could wait til the first 30 picks have been announced and the Chiefs are on the clock and we wouldn't have anything figured out.

Speak for yourself sir, in the call your shot thread, I had the Chiefs taking Karlaftis and a Washington CB last year (the other one ).

1. This wasn't a mock. It was the "call your shot" thread.
2. I make 3-4 mock drafts a year at the most. All the one's recently where I nailed the Chiefs picks (Thornhill, Gay, Sneed, Karlaftis) were my final mock. |

I am sure it depends on how far up we trade. I have little doubt that Clark wants a splash pick and that isn't happening at 31.

It only makes sense to trade up. 10 rookies aren’t making the roster, and they’re going to need either a stud edge or WR, neither of which is likely to be there at the last pick.
