Unofficial Raiders Home Game - Oakland vs Houston in Mexico City

Wish I could say I thought Osweiler can get it done... but I dont

They have the weapons to score on the fade, sure... but that gangly loser probably wont be able to get it to them, we shall see

Well said Mecca...and a HUGE reason ratings are down 20 %. People aren't dumb and we KNOW Denver was given a SB last year as an outright marketing gimmick.

Absolutely that was all about "give one to the face of the league for 20 years on the way out"

There have honestly been signs of this shit for years and years it's just a bit more pronounced now because of all of the camera angles and replays and all that.

I've always been a huge fan of the sport but I feel that waning a lot in the last few years. The game feels so created in a test tube now. Nothing just feels organic, the rise and fall of teams and players feels orchestrated.

I'm a pro wrestling fan I know that's all created, doesn't bother me, it does bother me when you aren't suppose to be that and you come off as that.

The Chiefs place in the NFL as far as fans, market, stars, excitement, the things that these "stories" are built on is not high so this team will never get the benefit of anything.

Pretty sure the league has more investment in Jameis Winston and Mike Evans than anyone on our offense...think about that.

I don't believe games are out right fixed but I do believe the officials have a directive to follow before each game. I don't think they always play out because sometimes a team is just to shitty on a day to take advantage of opportunities or a market they like isn't good enough to be helped out that season.

Point spreads do matter, follow them and watch how games play out it's stunning. On top of that the NFL does have favored sons who if they can they will always help. Oakland is one of those teams they were just so incompetent the last decade they were beyond help.

Being fans of this team we are never going to be a favored son unless we somehow get a superstar QB, Indy got to be a favored son for awhile due to this. We aren't a big enough market or a top 5 fan base around the country to be one.

The NFL is going to start their winter/going to the playoffs storyline's the same way the WWE gives a wrestler a push they push certain teams. In a lot of ways they have to be thrilled this year Dallas and Oakland have the best records, New England is right there oh and Pittsburgh is still likely to make the playoffs. Not to mention the Giants are good pretty much the only things left are for the Rams and Bears to come back to prominence but you can't have it all.

I think anyone who doesn't see the signs is burying their head in the sand refusing to admit there's to much money and agenda for there not to be fishy things going on.
Very well said. Probably the best opinion I've read on the matter. Deal is, its pretty predictable now.

It's extremely predictable, I think the fact that more and more people are noticing how fishy the officiating is and the fact that it has actually gotten worse over the last 30 years and not better makes people wonder wtf is going on.

Then they try and blame it on the national anthem stuff...deflecting real issues.

Ignore teammates, hug Papa John the official sponsor of the NFL and mumble about Budweiser the key advertiser of the Super Bowl...pretty much killed a lot of fan interest.

We are watching a corporate game that is more about sponsors and shilling than anything. The NFL went from this organically grown awesome product that became the top sport to a league that killed it's own goose by thinking angling outcomes would make the product better. The league has completely out priced the average fan from even going to games anymore.

They have killed defense with rules, they kill hitting with rules, they favor big markets and names on the backs of jerseys and then they manufacture outcomes that have nice storylines or help them.

No one and I really mean this no one can tell me that the Patriots good fortune doesn't have something to do with Bob Kraft basically running the ****ing league and them sitting in Boston.

Seriously look back and things look worse...The Saints win right after Katrina...Manning...They get the NY/Boston rivalry in the Bowl TWICE and their most important market wins both times.

Watch Oakland the new few years, that's a top 5 fan base with a top tier young QB that narrative is going to get pushed hardcore that is probably a team the NFL is marking a superbowl team before long.

So the Chiefs are screwed because the management doesn't believe in drafting QB's high enough to get a star QB.

I'm not convinced that the NFL is telling the refs to shade certain games a certain way. It would be hard for that to not come out and it would really, really hurt the NFL. I don't see a big enough upside.

But like any sport, some superstars get the benefit of the doubt on the calls. Absolutely. Maybe not as bad as the NBA, but I think it is there.

So the refs aren't necessarily shading things to the Patriots but they are shading them to Brady, which perhaps has the same result.

I could take it even one step further and point out this nutty dude on youtube named Zachary K Hubbard who thinks everything is fixed and it all relates to this math shit called gematria.

It's bizarre as shit and will give you a migraine.
