I was pretty pleased. I drove it for 12 years and still got almost 40 percent of my initial purchase price. (Recall that I bought it when it was almost three years old.) I bought it for a little over $22k and sold it for a little more than $8.

I definitely underpriced it a bit. If I had been hard core and willing to hold out for a while, I could have gotten another $1,200 to $1,500. But I wanted to make the sale rather quickly to keep from having to park it on the street going forward.

Congrats, I guess. I agree about a lingering sadness. All the cars that I've had enough time to "bond" with, I feel a some guilt in the loss. But alas it will be short lived with relief in the form combination of blue and white leather.

It's a whole new learning process. I'm not even close yet. However, I also think the batteries may be getting weaker in my door opener. It seems like I'm losing range, which makes the coasting to a landing much harder.
