bitch called the 5-0 on me tonight because we were having an argument. since she knows I would never hurt her she told them that I was trying to hurt myself. I got lucky. Cops talked to both of us and called BS and told her that she needed to go somewhere else. when they first showed up they said that they would have to take me to the looney bin for a 96 hour evaluation. luckily the officer was pretty understanding.

Errr, that really sucks. I hate giving marital and relationship advice and such, but from everything I've read I think it would be in your best interest to get as far away from this woman as possible. It's sad that she has just snapped like this...

I looked at a few places. Nothing till next month. I'm thinking about moving in with a buddy in Parkville. Everything was very cool earlier. She was extremely kind and nurturing. I went out to watch the game. Came home and asked her to talk as long as she was going to be in the house. She got in my face screaming. I yelled back. I said that I was going to leave and she would never hear from me again. She asked where I was going and I said to get drunk and pass out in a gutter. She decides to call the cops and tell them that I'm going to harm myself.

What's the story with her father? Good guy? Absent?

If you want to know why a girl is screwed up, the first place you look is her relationship with her father. Something happened there that makes her want to sabotage her relationships.

You could make it work with her, but it'd take a lot of work, and you'd both need to be in counseling... probably together and alone.

Her calling the cops was a cry for help. She's frustrated that she screwed this thing up and once you left, she lost control of the situation. It doesn't sound like she did it out of spite. Especially given the comment she made to the cop. That was a message intended for you, whether she even realizes it or not. Human communication is a fascinating thing.

She's stuck in a pretty destructive cycle... Probably feels like her life is out of control... Sounds like she's pretty flitty, and just acts on impulse without thinking through the consequences. Not sure what the energy between her and her father is, but I'm sure that it about completes the picture. Sounds like a high maintenance one... Of course they all are...

If she hasn't slept with the dude yet, and you care enough to swallow some pride, I'm telling ya... You can make it work. But the question is whether SHE is willing to do the work to make it work. She needs a therapist to work out why she is so self destructive. And to do that, she needs to come to grips with the fact that there is something wrong upstairs that might need adjusted. And even then... Just like Alcoholics... Once an alcoholic, always an alcoholic.

Personally, I think I'd bail. Thank God I didn't take my Interpersonal Communication Theory classes until after I was in a long term relationship with a girl who didn't need rescued from herself or I might have ended up with a real project on my hands.
