Back to the actual point of the OP, these reports look like bullshit, and I'm done listening to reports from anonymous sources bashing people's character. Also, everything I've heard about the agents tells me their petty losers. People fire their agents all the time without them whining to the media and smearing their former client. What desperate ****ing clowns.

Players drop in the draft all the time without blaming their agents and firing them IMMEDIATELY after the draft.

Andy Reid thinks Alex Smith will be better than all these QBs in the draft. It has nothing to do with anything the Chiefs have done in the past. Pretty sure for Andy Reid personally trading for Smith was the RISKIER move. Now, pressure is on him to win immediately whereas had he gone with a 1st round QB as his starter, he'd be given a few years grace period.

Andy Reid will either be right or wrong about Alex Smith becoming a franchise QB for us. I'm somewhat skeptical, but don't think it's out of the question.

Andy Reid's decisions suggest nothing more than he thinks Alex Smith will be a better QB for us than Geno Smith, Matt Barkley, etc.

I agree. It's not Reid being afraid to 'risk it' on a rookie, it's about him thinking all these kids were not up to the task.

You don't pick a kid you think is subpar just because you need a guy. That's not being 'scared' it's being smart.

I wish it were not the case, but there just wasn't a better option this offseason.

This all goes back to the nutty idea that drafting a first round QB maximizes your chance of winning a Super Bowl without any regard for the individual strengths and weaknesses of the QB prospect or the alternatives available through free agency, trade, or in later rounds of the draft.

Strangely enough though, they've abandoned this foundational principle in order to maintain support for the guy they focused their affection on now that he's turned into the type of non-first-round QB that they previously condemned. Cognitive dissonance.

8 For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, 9 not a result of works, so that no one may boast. 10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.

They're mostly oblivious to it though. They're like Monte Python's Black Knight. Or Frankie.

Andy Reid and John Dorsey have apparently spent the entire offseason holed up in Pioli's basement pulling bong hits, playing D & D, and scheming on the best way to ensure that the Chiefs will be 8-8 for the next 40 years. If you believe the Genobators, that is the more likely option than there not being a decent QB in this draft.

Yep but now are the "Genobators" the same group of annual QB gurus that never are right about the quality of said QBs. It is a different one every year.
