That looked more like Kansas State playing against Wake Forest tonight. It looked like the KU players were moving in slow motion the whole game.

Holy crap! WTF happened to my beloved Jayhawks tonight? That was terrible... I have NEVER seen a Roy Willams coached team perform that poorly.
Our next game is vs DePaul @ the United Center in Chicago - a place where KU typically plays like total ****e. As a matter of fact, I think we've lost every single game we've played there under Williams... |

I was worried about his one, I believe I even posted this a week ago.
We have one or two of these per year. For some reason we just choke on the road against big time competition (Mizzou, Michigan State, Illinois, and OK State last year). We had some injuries but they are no excuse, everyone has injuries. Wake is a great team, 3 starters who average in double figures. We'll be back, and soon. We have too much talent and Roy is too good of a coach to let this kill us for too long. I think we can feel lucky that one of our yearly blowouts was against a non conference opponent. However, it won't hold up well for us if we falter this year and are on the bubble come tournament time. [This message has been edited by DJay23 (edited 12-07-2000).] |

Sometimes it just takes a good butt-whoopin to get your attention. That is one thing I like about round ball. The Jayhawks season is not over like it would be if this was football.

I officially quit being a fan of any team...I am officially neutral...I have become Switzerland...I'm tire of watching "my" teams lose...but as someone said, at least the Jayhawks have another 30 games or so to play....

58,
don't worry little buddy, the HAWKS(6-0 play the cyclones(6-0) saturday night...so the lowly Iowa BB teams can no longer be undefeated. I'm sure my time is just around the corner..no one will go unbeaten in the BIG 10. Didn't Iowa beat the mighty J-hawks last year or was it 2yrs? |

This was my fault. It seems, as it did last year, that every time I watched KU, they were beaten handily.
This was the first KU game I got to watch because Im in ACC country and the only teams you see are ACC teams in any sport. I flipped this one on to get my first look at KU this season only to watch them get their butts handed to them. I dont know what to do now. Im afraid to watch anymore games, cause if I do, they might lose again. |

mizzou,
no offense taken...but I would think that these days, the slow, soft, fat boys would come from college or the city...suffering from both from cronic nintendo thumb and bleacher butt, with a mild leather sofa infection of the posterior glutious maximus |

Yeah, that was pretty bad. They just weren't prepared... Wake & their fans were definitely fired up! Like I said earlier, I've not seen a Roy Williams coached team perform this poorly - I certainly don't expect to see it again!!
No worries - KU will be back at the top come March! |

Hey Iowanian, did you hear the line out of Vegas?
Hawks by TWELVE! Eustachy called an emergency press conference yesterday afternoon to calm everybody down about the potential for a blowout. Of course, he mentioned Oliver and Recker, and then talked about Evans for about 25 minutes. He kept saying things like "I hope we can keep it close." "I hope they don't run us off the floor." GO HAWKS! ------------------ Parker [b]ChiefsPlanet Administrator</B> |
