If the Chiefs were to draft Offense...

With the first pick the Chiefs draft an offensive player. Who would you want that pick to be? (someone that should/could be around the 20th pick)

Marcus McNeill
Chad Jackson
S. Moss

McNeill.

I really don't want a WR in round 1.

Yep, I agree with McNeill. I would be OK with Chad Jackson if we trade down a few spots and pick up a 4th rd. pick.

My 1st choice would be Vernon Davis TE out of Maryland. I think he is going to be an awesome TE. Very much like Gonzo, if not, better. Why TE? Well, Gonzo is not getting younger, and, given his current situation with his contact, it may produce a problem for us in the near future. He won't be available by 20 anyway. He is too good to get that low.

I like D-Brickashaw ferguson also. But, he will be looong gone. Those are my top 2 choices. That narrows it down to possibly a WR. Santonio Holmes would be my choice. IF he is available at 20.

Drafting offense wouldn't be bad. Does anyone really think that a defensive rookie 1st and 2nd round pick at 20 and 52(?) is the difference between making a Super Bowl run or not? The 2006 Chiefs are still a team that needs the offense to carry the defense.

A left OT might be the best move for several reasons. First, there will likely be a decent value pick at 20. Second, Roaf may not be back with the Chiefs in 2006. Third, even if Roaf comes back he's at that age where there is a good likelihood he's going to miss some games and we know what happened to the team in 2005 when that happened.

McNeil and Justice are probably the two best candidates. It would be great if the Chiefs could drop down a few spots and grab a 3rd or 4th round pick and still get the guy they feel is best. Then again, if Hali, Williams or Huff are around screw LOT in the first round.

EDWARDS: No, I have not.”
