What happened to Justin Medlock
I thought he was signed to the practice squad after he cleared wavers. He is not on the practice squad at the Chief's website now. I don't read every Chiefsplanet entry so I am sorry if it has been mentioned before.

His official status is that he belongs to no team in the NFL nor their practice squads. Including KC's.

My personal theory is that KC doesn't want to take up a PS spot with a kicker, so they're working him out in private somewhere, secure that no team in their right mind would try to pick him up at this point.

Do they have to wait a certain amount of time before adding him to the practice squad? Maybe all the waivers ect. have not cleared.

I don't think I've ever seen it announced that someone was cut from a practice squad. He was there at one point though, but I suspect he was dropped for one of the more recent additions:
