Home Opener Tailgate

I know it's over a week away, but I'm a little anxious. Plus, for those who make plans, I wanted to throw this out there.

Most people don't seem to know papasmurf anymore, but that's my dad. He co-owns a Chiefs RV with a couple of friends (non-site members). We park in the same spot for every game. F24 by the crosswalk in the grass between Lot F and the outer road. It's kind of hard to miss us. We are there when the gates open, and typically start cleaning up at about 11am (or a little after). We usually save a few spots around us for either people who tailgate with us regularly or that we know who are also driving up from out of town. Lot N (cash lot) is right across from us.

Our grill is usually always open. We have our grill master for our stuff, but he needs time to enjoy activities too. You're welcome to bring food to throw on the grill, but it would be nice if you didn't expect us to stand there and keep an eye on it. Bring your own beverages as well. There's typically always room for it in someone's cooler. Also, we typically share if you share. No one goes hungry or thirsty at our tailgate. Anything left at our tailgate before the game isn't guaranteed to still be there after the game if you get out after we do, as we usually wait only long enough for our crew to get out before leaving. So, either take any coolers you bring back to your vehicles before going into the game or risk them either going with us or being left at the spot.

Don't be afraid to come up and ask for luv. Our crew is used to my "internet people" coming by to visit.

PS - let me know if you think you might come out. I like having an idea of how many to maybe look for.

I am so ****ing pissed that I have to work Sundays this year. First season in recent memory that I not only won't be there (which is normal considering I grew up in Seattle) but I also won't be able to watch the ****ing games.

Book it. We're winning the Super Bowl this year.

He didn't travel to the @ denver game in 08 did he? My wife and I went to that game when we were in Colorado and hung out tailgating with a bunch of Chiefs fans that traveled from KC area to the game. I'd have to go look to find the pictures of the RV, but I remember that the headrests inside had the KC logo sewn in.

Nope. The RV has only been to Arrowhead. I believe this is it's third year in existence.

I should note that, if we're ever not there when the gates open, ask around the spot for dedicatedfan. If we're not there for any reason, he'll know why.

Same here. Starting my new job next week and I think Sunday's are going to be part of my schedule. Unless I can convince them somehow to let me have Sundays off. Ideas anyone?

The only time it doesn't make it up is if something breaks down on the way up or if neither of the drivers are going. It doesn't happen too often, but it does happen.

It's also been gutted and redone on the inside, too (except for the bathroom). Not gonna post those pictures or the picture of my favorite decal on it. Those are better seen in person.

As usual, I will be there with Mrs. dedicatedfan. It also looks like Guru and the son of Guru will be with us. Is there anything special you need us to bring?

I have no clue what's on the menu yet. I'll let you know as soon as I find out. Can never have too many trash bags, paper towels, or plastic cutlery.

Just thought I'd give this a bump to see if there's anyone else who might be stopping by this Sunday. THIS Sunday! I love being able to say that!
