Expectations being the bar set at the bottom, I expect at least 6-10, will be happy with 7-9 or 8-8, and will JIMP if we reach 9-7 or 10-6....

6-10. A mediocre performance by Cassel where he has some really bad games, a couple of games where he throws for over 300 yards, and people make excuses for him (bad o-line play, not enough weapons, etc.) while pointing at the decent performances to say "That's the real Matt Cassel."

8-8 for fun, 10-6 for more fun, but 7-9 for real.

In all honesty I think the broncos are now the worst team in the division. If Glen can further adapt his skills the the 3-4 and Jackson can grow a set then hopefully Tamba can do what he does best and Sheffield can spell him. I cannot imagine the joy Crennel is experiencing scheming with Berry in the mix.

I agree 8-8 is a reasonable standard to expect from them, but being the deservedly recent pessimist I have become regarding the team, I am expecting 7-9 and considering 8-8 and above a deserved surprise. I really just want to see this defense develop into a unit; the core pieces are there. Linebackers are much easier to come by in a 3-4

6-8 wins.
That may be optimistic but I think we are at least as good as Denver and Oakland. San Diego may not be what they were either. If we could some how steal the home opener on Monday Night it could be a really interesting season. If we get good QB, OL, and DL play we could mess around with the playoffs. I'm not holding my breathe on that though. |
