Man they better not put Fisher at RT. Move Albert to LG or RT, but by god please dont put Fisher at RT. But seriously, this line is looking incredible.

Why? Just play them wherever it works best. If the best line is Fisher at RT and Albert at LT then put them there.

The Niners drafted 1.11 in 2010 and put Davis at RT. Yeah, 1.1's higher but it was supposedly a crappy draft with no difference makers in the top 10 per some analysts.

You have to wonder if Reids Tackle struggles towards the end of his Philly run are fueling some of this. This would definitely be a lot of investment in the line combined with the young interior and would leave us with a 3rd round backup tackle as well.

I mean, if Reid wants to put Fisher at RT, then alright. But to me it would seem better to leave Fisher, the rookie, at the position he's best at, which is also probably the most important on the o-line.

I dont think it matters where Fisher is on the line. He's going to be a beast wherever be is.

I agree. But I think LT is more inmportant than RT, so if Albert is at all able to play any other position, IMO it'd be best for him to move rather than Fisher.

We don't know what position he'd be best at. We only know that if the Chiefs had traded Albert we'd have put him at LT because as you said it's the most important. If we retain Albert we have options as Albert is strong at protecting the QB. Even if Fisher is a better LT. How bad is Albert at RT? He's not a great run blocker at LT so how much worse does he look on the right side?

They'll sort it out and as long as they win no one will care where Fisher was drafted or where he plays. If they lose it'll get ugly if 1.1 is at RT though

I guess this is the thing I can't get out of my head. I don't like the idea of spending the #1 on a RT. But hey, if it works out better than moving Albert, then ok.

"Wonder"? There is no doubt under all of heaven and earth that Philly's disintegrating line brought this on.

I don't think Dorsey got the best value for 1.1, Didn't get anything for Albert, and I think it was pretty obvious they wanted Barkley in the 4th but failed to get him.
All but confirmed, KC wasn't looking to move on him in the 4th. Andy said he was on the phone with Sabah at the time asking about a final take on one of their players, and they were afraid any of those next couple teams were gonna possibly take him and that's why the jumped a couple spots is what Jaws said. Finally, this question was addressed to Herm also and he said flat out that he talked with guys in KC's war room and while the buzz may have been discussed in the media during the draft, KC wasn't going to take Barkley either way, Philly simply jumped up because they had him roughly in their top 50 players on their white board and didn't want to gamble sitting back because the teams drafting right ahead had QB as a need position, so they felt jumping up for getting him was a steal.

1) You need a franchise QB to win a Super Bowl.

2) Alex Smith is not a franchise QB.

3) As long as Alex Smith is our QB, we will not win a Super Bowl.

This is how I see things, so I'm not going to get too excited about us possibly going 10-6 and losing 17-13 in the wildcard round of the playoffs.
