Yeah, well their end of the year forecast is surely pro-Chiefs, and I like that very much, but I'm not so happy with their draft analysis.

http://www.nflreport.com/Teams_Chiefs.htm

Draft Grade: D
LB Derrick Johnson was a great addition to a defense that was in desperate need of an upgrade. A tackling machine with good range, Johnson should be a superstar in the NFL, but the K.C. defense would have been better served by acquiring a pass-rushing specialist to chase down opposing QBs who will frequently drop back to pass in order to keep up with the K.C. scoring machine. Rather than acquiring that pass rusher in the third frame, when there was ample talent available, the Chiefs wasted a pick on a Punter. If he can stay healthy, WR Craphonso Thorpe, drafted in round four, could provide quality depth behind, or eventually replace, Morton and Kennison, two aging Receivers.

The Chiefs didn't go 8-8 last year. How can these guys be called professional journalists if they fuck up something as simple as the teams previous record? Wow.

SUPER BOWL XL
FEBRUARY 5, 2006

Chiefs, 30

Panthers, 24

K.C. has the offense and has improved enough defensively to get HC Dick Vermeil back into the Super Bowl. They have the talent to get there but the road won't be easy as they'll likely have to square off against New England, Baltimore and/or Indianapolis, widely considered the best teams overall in the NFL. Nevertheless, we're going with the Chiefs. The NFC will be hotly contested as well, but the Panthers might have the best all-around talent, especially in terms of defense and a power running game. That's not to say that they'll roll right into Detroit for Super Bowl XL. Philadelphia, Minnesota or Seattle will pose a challenge. Carolina needs to stay healthy, especially at RB, which led to their downfall last season.

The fact that we got the biggest steal of the draft and were still getting good players in the middle rounds rates higher than a D. I have to wonder if any of their late round picks make the team. There were alot of big time projects picked there.
I have to disagree strongly about the Raiders. They were poor on both sides of the ball, especially the defense. They may have actually gotten worse there. I don't expect the Chargers to be as good as they were last year, but they may break .500. The Broncos getting their new Dline from one of the worst defenses in the league makes me think that maybe BANG had a scoop on that one.

I like this part best...

"after getting throttled by Indy in their past two playoff appearances, Denver might be wise to take the year off."
