Do we classify Dwayne Bowe as a #1 receiver now?

45 catches, 715 yards, 11 touchdowns.

No opposing receiving threat, today Moeaki was out, and he's obviously handicapped at quarterback.

The drops have disappeared.

His blocking is excellent.

Committed and has kept his yap shut.

I think he's arrived.

His production has been outstanding.

Im still debating whether he is a true #1, I don't know? I just think he needs to be more consistent.

Im not knocking his play, but all I want to get at is, there are times like these where he produces like a monster, and then are other times when he needs to make the easy routine catch in critical times but fails.

*No question he is definately one of our best players. A #2 for sure. After reading about Fitzgerald lately I can't stop dreaming about him being in KC next year. Bowe and Fitz as our receivers would be a wet dream.

I think that the Colts endzone drop affected him, and he is now getting his head out of his ass.

He does look better.

I wish he'd of made those catches w/ Raiders and Colts, though.

He's going to drop some more passes. Sometimes at crucial times. He is still the best WR receiver we've had since Otis Taylor.

I don't give a rats ass if he is a true #1 or a good #2 as long as we get another talented receiver to play opposite of him. It would be great if he was better than Bowe. If he's close to as good, that works too.

If he finishes this season strong over the last six games, I will say he has arrived.

Bowe isn't a true #1?

Says the **** who? An idiot? A ****ing dumbass?

Maybe. But Bowe is and has been a true #1 for a while. His first two years in the league rank right up there top 10 all time. He's on a tear this year for something like 1200 yards and 15 TD's. Only a ****ing moron would say he's not a true #1.

Denver rookie QB John Elway, on Jack Lambert, after Lambert and the Steelers knocked Elway out of his first game as a pro (1983).

The drops he has made have been killer...but as Todd Haley would like to put it, his arrow is definitely pointing "up".

Don't short-change McCluster. Our offense just looks different with him in the game. Somehow, the entire offense looks a step faster.

I dont get how people can put the Indy loss directly on Bowe's shoulders. Yes he dropped a TD pass that would have made the game interesting but it's not like the Colts didnt score after that play which would have won them the game whether he caught that ball or not. Now the Oakland game? Yes. You can put that on his shoulders. If he catches that ball its the 2 minute warning with 0 Raider timeouts.
