Changes to the forum tree...
All,

I have made some changes to the forum tree.

A draft sub-forum has been added to the Lounge. We got enough requests to keep the draft talk organized and separate that I decided to add it.

I moved the tech committee forum (for those of you on the committee) out of the Lounge and into Arrowhead.

I'm looking at organizing some of the other Arrowhead children, including the Store, the tickets for sale forum, and the articles forum.

If anybody has any good ideas, please post them here.

As for the DC forum...

I'd just like to discuss the refusal by some (maybe many) to even agree to the sub-forum link at the top of the lounge. I don't understand the willingness to "support" a MusicOnly forum that seems to have but a handful of users/particpant, but refusal to allow such a sub-forum.

I don't understand the thinking there.

"We" (the political discussion types) agreed to take our heated, passionate discussions to a seperate forum. I personally was a leader & advocate for such a forum. I respected the frustration of the other posters who objected to the overwhelming flood of political threads filling the first page each day.

I lead the fight to improve their experience by taking my topics to a seperate forum. I'm not sure why that significant gesture of respect and courtesy isn't returned to the DCers.

It's certainly not a great deal to ask to have a Forum Link at the top of the lounge. As I've said, we are talking about the 2nd most active/popular forum on the entire site.

Why is the draft a sub-forum while the main board is cluttered with such Chiefs/football toppics as "what should I eat at the blah blah Grill" ," I just had a roast beef sandwich" etc.?
