Who is anticipated to be available? I know it's impossible to know for sure.

I know Joe Flacco's going to get franchised. Do you see any on this list that you'd like to see with the Chiefs next year?

Matt Moore (QB)
Tarvaris Jackson (QB)
Reggie Bush (RB) Franchised?
Felix Jones (RB)
Shonn Greene (RB)
Danny Woodhead (RB)
Greg Jennings (WR) Franchised?
Mike Wallace (WR)
Wes Welker (WR)
Danny Amendola (WR) Can't imagine Rams letting him go.
Tony Gonzalez (TE) Yeah, I know.
Brent Grimes (CB)
Ed Reed (S)

Also, a lot of people think Ray Lewis is going to get cut this offseason.

I know there's a lot more there.

My plan would be to re-sign Bowe/Albert and make a push for one of the other WR's. I'd also be interested in Lewis to help lead our defense. But I'm just throwing stuff out there right now.

I assume we're in agreement the first two picks.

Then I'd work on the OL and WR...

Denver rookie QB John Elway, on Jack Lambert, after Lambert and the Steelers knocked Elway out of his first game as a pro (1983).

Well I'm assuming we go Geno first round and start him from day one. So that means backup QB should be found in free agency but I think our other holes are more important to fill.

So outside of Geno, we need a #2 CB so we can move Arenas back to NCB (where I think he's actually a solid starter). After that, assuming we re-sign Bowe, we need a #2 WR. We can keep Baldwin and McCluster around in the hopes that a competent QB will make them shine, but I wouldn't put all my eggs in those baskets. I'd prefer a tall speed guy this time; I'm thinking 6'3" 4.4 40 time.

Also, if we re-sign Albert I think we're pretty good on the o-line. We're young, inured and playing guys out of position so of course we're taking some lumps, but they've played pretty well given the circumstances. We have no threat of a downfield passing game and some of the most unimaginative playcalling ever, yet we're one of the top rushing teams. They'll look insane once Geno gets a feel for NFL game speed.

Don't we have to spend some money?
Cobb & Jennings don't even play the same position. Cobb is a slot WR. Jennings is out wide. Jennings will be back in GB.

I don't disagree with you, but the Packers have James Jones, Jordy Nelson, Randall Cobb and Greg Jennings.

Greg Jennings price tag will be too much for the Packers to justify keeping him. They played just fine this year without him.

We desperately need a #2 corner. Sign whoever is the best out there at whatever he wants. Sign Wallace. Sign Reggie Bush and get rid of mccluster.

The Chiefs are not going to spend the money to get big name FA, just not there style.

Realistic wish list:

1. They must sign Bowe.
2. Sign Albert

Free Agents
1. Jarius Byrd - team him with Flowers, Berry and a 2nd round CB and you have an excellent secondary. With Peyton in the division we have to improve the secondary if we are going to catch up to the Donkeys. There should be several safties on market, but Byrd would be my first pick.

2. Delanie Walker - Highly under-rated TE, athletic, and he can do a lot of different things in the offense. Team him with Moeaki and Boss and a good OC can create some matchup problems.

3. Back QB - don't really care. If he plays we aren't going to the playoffs anyway. Just get somebody who will not embarrass the organization anymore.

4. Bigger, heavier, and durable RB.

Draft:
1. Geno Smith QB
2. Xavier Rhodes CB (I prefer Rhodes over the FA CB. (He is tall and physical. I'm really tired of running short CBs out there.)
3. DaRick Rogers WR 6'3" and can run (head case, but worth the risk).
4. Inside LB
5. RB is one not added in FA

Sign me up for Goldson however.
He shouldn't even be a name, he's really just a bust that was drafted too high in the first place because he went to Jerry Jones alma mater.

I'd be interested in a look at Ray just because of the attitude he'll bring to this team (I'd hope) in a very public way.

I agree. But I have been pimping Drew Stanton too under the impression that he was going to be a FA. Was I wrong?

Say all bad things you want about Haley, but I think Hillis would have been good under him instead of grandpa Crennel. Hillis is talented but is the type who would flourish under a disciplinarian instead of an easy going coach.

Wallace is the only WR I'd want, and I'd be surprised if he stays in the 'Burgh. The Steelers are, theoretically, tight against the cap and they just paid Antonio Brown. His YPR has dropped off pretty significantly under Haley too.

No thanks on a 30 year old Jennings.
