Without Asante Samuel the Patriots secondary is VERY suspect. Not saying we will win the game but we can at least score some points in the process. I think Croyle is going to be passing alot late in the game to catch up and I think he can have a big game if he can have any protection at all.

I'm calling a loss in the vein of our loss to Indy last year. A lot of offensive futility and a surprising amount of defensive opportunism, resulting in a surprisingly close game.

I can't believe we're their first opponent. I'm sure they won't take getting clowned in the Super Bowl out on us or anything. Obviously the abject hatred the scheduling office has for us hasn't abated any for 2008.

Oh well. Hopefully Dorsey will twist Tom Terrific into a pretzel.

Dude, any QB that plays for Herm Edwards will pass alot late in the game. His offense is all about playing catchup in the 4th...

Belicheck says "the war is already won before the battle is even fought" when coaching against a Herm Edwards lead team..

Pats 45
Chiefs 12

Pats score TD's, Herm wants to make up for lost FG's last season.

Did you know?
The Patriots open the season Sept. 7 at home against the Chiefs. If Kansas City's Brodie Croyle starts that day, he would be the first quarterback drafted by the Chiefs to start a season opener in more than 20 years. The last home-grown Kansas City quarterback to get the nod on opening day was Todd Blackledge, who started the 1987 opener against the Chargers. Entering his third season, Croyle has yet to win as a starter (0-6).

Wow dude, just shows why the Chiefs are never contenders...

Note to self, when it's a Chiefs thread, and Rerererererun is the last to reply, it's OK to wait for someone with something new to say before clicking.
