Gunther says "Adios Cris, Hello Eric" . . . . . for now

It looks as though Mr. Dishman's days as a starter are over . . . for now. Gunther said he will be starting Warfield against T.B. and that was it. BUT if you read all of his comments, I get the impression Warfield is going to be starting when the season kicks off(assuming of course he doesn't get torched relentlessly against T.B.).

Gunther DEFINITELY wants Eric to take the starting job! Check these comments out from the article:

"Eric Warfield is very talented football player," Cunningham said. "I want to see if he has what it takes, or if he's one of those guys who's always going to play as a nickel and be satisfied."

Hello, Mr. Warfield! The challenge has been laid before you. Are you going to step up and be the corner you are capable of being??? Show us what you got kid!

I agree with the move. Do it now. Put him on Keshawn. See if he has the fire to play corner. If he is a wuss and continues to play 7 yards off the line of scrimmage, get rid of him and find someone who wants to play. Dishman is always there to step back in. At the same time this move should make Dishman focus more and cut out the mental mistakes like he made against JVille. Bartee needs to get himself ready for action...

Yes it looks like Gun is willing to shake things up. He is also replacing Dan Williams with John Browning as the starter. Gun even said he may start 3 rookies!

I hope this is a deathnell for not playing rookies!

That was my question also. It doesn't say anywhere that I read. However, that would be my guess.

It seems that these are starts for the last preseason game and if they work out possibly the opener.

Let's hope the rookies can prevail!!

SloMo will be the deathnell for not playing rookies. Once Grbac gets used to him, he'll be asking Gun to start him. If you guys don't want to use SloMo, I think he'd look just dandy in Silver and Black. How 'bout another incestuous player exchange?
