You guyz'll like this... Raiders self-destruct in 2nd quarter. Julius Peppers beats rookie LT Veldheer for strip-sack. Starting center Satele gets injured, backup center hikes the ball over Campbell's head deep in Raider territory. Cutler throws 4th-down TD & goes for two. Chicago 14, Oakland 13.

Scrub time 3rd quarter... 27-14 Oakland. Rookie Jacoby Ford might be OK... he's fast & can catch the ball (against 2nd teamers anyway).

30-17 Oakland 4th quarter trash time. Colt Brennan at QB... hands off for a loss. Gets sacked for a loss.
Brennan actually has a nice touch on the ball. Oakland shows mercy & lets time expire at the Chicago goal line.. 32-17. Last edited by Ugly Duck; 08-21-2010 at 09:44 PM.. |

Were gonna be scary as compared to what we have been over the last few years, can't wait to line up against the chiefs
Maybe this is the year both teams revive the rivalry from days gone past

Starters have 11 sacks in 2 games (more like 3 quarters of play). A lot of it is having John Marshall at defensive coordinator... dudes been doing it for 30 years. When he was defensive coordinator in SF the 49ers were the NFL's No. 1 defense. But some of the success is just new players ripping it up. Lamaar Houston is an animal (might have some kinda anger problem, though). One of those sacks came on a 3 man rush so it ain't all John Marshall.
