If the Chiefs had drafted well earlier in this decade instead of trading away premium draft choices for coaches and players that were only with the franchise for a couple of years, this team's outlook would be completely different.

In a way I'm ok with firing because Haley is going to hang his ass out there for all to see and evaluate.

The timing is really strange and there is no doubt that there is a hell of a lot more to this story.

While I, like almost everyone one else was shocked by the timming of this, I am down right giddy about the bottom line. Play calling AND QB's coach!

One of the two biggest reasons (the other was the Parcells connection) I was happy Haley was our new H.C. was his aggresive offensive play calling.

We are still going to have to wait to get all the parts of the puzzle in place to see the machine work, but like I said when they were letting Herm pick all his own players to build this team at draft time, at least this will ALL come back on him.

Sink or swim, at the end of the day we are going to see what he's got.
