I saw the post-crash encarnation of Skynard in concert. They were flawless. As live performances go, I would only rank the Eagles higher, and that's basically a homer vote. Based on that, I'll give them my vote, but it's a tough call.

I saw the original Skynyrd in concert. Free Bird is without a doubt the greatest song I have ever heard/seen live. Awesome.

CCR is good...they are just totally different.

I seen them with Bad Company.
An afternoon and evening of RocknRoll, beer, , and women everywhere. Outdoor concert, early summer, right by Tablerock Lake.

One of the best I've been too.

Both bands are decent. But anytime I listen to classic rock stations they usually overdose their audiences with both. So I'm sick to death of both bands. I was more into Hard Rock and Punk rock when I was a teenager. I listen to stuff like Green Day ect. nowadays.

So I voted for Gaz and his Rolling Hills Blue Grass Band.

Amen to that. I don't know how the hell these "Classic Rock" stations can stay on the air. Listen to it for a day or two, and you have heard their entire playlist. Listen for a week, and you start going apeshit humming "Saturday Night's alright for fighting" while on the crapper...It just won't...get...outta your...head...

No way is CCR in the same league as Skynard, I like CCR much better. A better comparison would have been the Skynard and the Allman Brothers and the Bros win hands down.

To each their own. I think LS sucks. There is one song of theirs that I can tolerate and that is The Breeze. That is a great song.
