Lional Dalton and the defense

If you ask me I thought dalton was straight ballin sunday and the d looked good except for a couple long runs and passing on third down. I don't know i haven't watched the tape of the game but I imagine the players are still getting used to the new scheme so I assume there were missed assignments, players out of position etc. I think after a few weeks (maybe after the bye?)We will cut down on alot of those big runs. If you remeber last year they consistently ran on us 4 yards five yards 7 yards then bam a 60 yarder now this year theres not 4 yds 6 yds 7yds its 1 yard tackle for loss of 1yard 2 yard gain then comes a huge run. So ithink if we quit giving up the big one we'll be fine.

also could someone teach our FUGGIN PLAYERS TO TACKLE!!!

i thought dalton looked real good early in the game, but i wonder if he got tired as the game wore on, because he wasn't flashing like he had been early in the game...

He'd start this week for sure. He played very well. The whole defense got hung out there all day by the offense.

I've been saying since last week that

1) This defense will be a top 10-15 defense over the last 8 weeks of the season.
2) Our offense isn't performing the same as last year.

Our main problem is getting our offensive ship righted. It's still in Gun-I-trust with the defense.

Oh yeah if we just tackle somebody then we will be fine. Our defense was in the Carolina backfield the whole game, just didnt wrap up and make the tackle.

Dalton was unbelievable in the first half. Watch the tape and you'll see how dominant he was. It's true that he was not as effective in the 2nd half, but he was effective. That kind of play should get others on defense to step up. When is the last time we saw a defensive tackle for the Chiefs blow a line up like that? Sims played tough but was just not as effective, and yes, he was double-teamed often. We need to start taking a long look at our secondary though, not the defensive line.
