Restaurants of yesteryear
What Restaurants did you grow up around? I'm not talking super fancy and yes fast-food counts. What distinctive memories do you associate with them?

Mine?

Taco Via-(the lit up menu of the various taco plates displayed on the wall), WhiteCastle-On a paper plate with fries and Pepsi, Arthur Treachers(off Noland), Tippins(off Noland), Perkins(the free toy well), Country Deli(awesome local deli to Blue Springs heated sandwiches on Sourdough buns), Zarda BBQ and Dairy, FunHouse Pizza(of Course)(Dark. Video- Games,Electonic Riding Bull and 25-cent Taco night) Annes Sante Fe.

Keep in mind I never see these anymore living in Georgia.

The Dish was quality Pizza, hated to see them go. Only had their deep once but you are dead on with the thin crust. That's what I always got.

I think I grabbed a frozen when the first launched, wasn't bad but too pricey for the Totino's crowd here.

Back in the day (like early 60s) K Mart sold military surplus rifles from barrels back in sporting goods. The old man bought 3 -7mm German Mausers. Completely refinished them and gave one to me and one to my brother. Beautiful rifles. Here's the great part - he paid $25 for three of them.....I still have that rifle to this day.

So, bottom line, We used to love K Mart - hell, basically, it was the only "BIG" store back then - Walmart hadn't been born yet.
