Daniel Jeremiah is tweeting now....
@MoveTheSticks: Wonder what it would cost the Dolphins to move from #12 all the way up to #1? Secure top OT to protect Tannehill for 10+ years
@MoveTheSticks: If you are KC, would you take pick #12, a 2nd rd pick this year and a 3rd rd pick next year for the #1 pick? Purely hypothetical. |

I said swapping first rounders, plus both their 2nds and a 1st in 2014.

Ugh. That's such a ****ing kick in the pants, but we really have no grounds whatsoever to ask for much more than that.
I would take that deal simply because it eliminates the possibility of Joeckel. |

That third next year would have to be conditional pick that could be a first or second if certain things happen.
There would have to be better offers for the top pick than that. |

Well, my offer is where negotiating starts.
We would all love to get back in the 2nd rd. I know as well as anyone, I doubt they will give us both 2nd's.

Yep. I think the Dorsey/Reid could really take a haul in this draft with 3 picks in the first two rounds.

There are only 8 slots between their second second rounder and our original third.

There is a lot that could happen with 8 picks in any of the first three rounds that make that pick more worthy than the one at the top of the 3rd. Especially since that would be our last pick till the fourth rd.

I'd say 1.12 this year their #2 second and their 1st next year works. Future 1st = current 2nd

Whether it's via Albert or trading down, I want 2 picks in the 2nd rnd. There is a lot of meat this year in the 2nd.

That's about the compensation it took for Dallas to move from 14 to 6. I'm not a big fan of Joeckels, but he is a better player at a more important position than Morris Claiborn.
The "point totals" of that trade equated to 1600 for 1550. The top pick is worth 3000 draft value points. Now, everyone knows we aren't gonna get full value unless a couple teams are sold on Geno....but to take HALF value in a trade down is a bit too much. Somebody would offer more. |
